Welcome to
Mountain House Holidays.
With over 20 years experience, and a passion for the
outdoors which we relish in sharing with others, Mountain
House Holidays offer a range of walking and adventure
activity holidays and breaks for people of all ages and
abilities. From our bases in the Derbyshire Peak District
and Sierra Nevada mountains of Southern Spain we have
personally tried and tested our holidays and activities
with our team of qualified and experienced leaders and
instructors. Read our regular news updates for more
information.
Our aim is to provide you with a holiday to remember
whatever your age or ability. We are always ready to tailor
make the programme to individual preferences or to design
one specifically for your group.
If you are interested in learning skills to help you make
the most of walking in the Derbyshire Peak District, we can
show you the Dales around Foolow, the moors of the Dark
Peak, or help out with learning map and compass or
GPS navigation,
essential skills for any walker.
Activity holidays in the Peak District can include rock
climbing, abseiling, canoeing, raft building and caving. We
are able to cater for people of all ages and are especially
pleased to welcome people with a
learning disability to try out these exciting
activities.
Our holidays in Southern Spain make the most of the
walking and mountaineering,
rock climbing and
canyoning, which the Sierra Nevada mountains,
Alpujarra and Lecrin Valley have to offer. Most holidays
also include the opportunity to visit the Alhambra and
city of Granada.
We are also developing the site as a resource for those who
want to walk, climb or
mountaineer in Spain independently. This will
include guides to walking and rock climbing around
Lanjarón, on the southern slopes of the Sierra
Nevada, mainland Spain's highest mountains, and gateway
to the Alpujarra, some information about the Sierra Nevada national
park, and accommodation in Lanjarón.
