Adventure activities and holidays for people with a learning disability
The Peak District offers people with a learning disability the opportunity to try out all sorts of activities. The holiday we describe has been tried out by people with a wide range of abilities. We are always ready to adapt the ideas or activities to suit individual needs.

The holiday is led by instructors who have experience and qualifications for working with people who have learning difficulties and is planned to encourage those taking part to try activities which suit their abilities, to build confidence, learn new skills and improve agility.
People joining us on this holiday with learning difficulties must be able to support themselves or have a support worker with them.

Cost £485 per person including 4 nights bunkhouse accommodation, food, qualified instructors, equipment and local transport

adventure activities in the peak district

Day 1
We arrange to meet you around the middle of the day. We have a short walk, and try out some rock climbing.

Day 2 We hire mountain bikes (some of these are special for people who can't ride a bike or use a wheelchair) and cycle an easy trail.

Day 3 A longer walk down a beatiful valley to a cafe for lunch. In the afternoon we do some more rock climbing or abseiling before an evening barbecue

Day 4 We go to a reservoir to try out canoeing. The canoes work well when tied together!

Day 5 A short walk to look inside a cave. We can also buy some presents to take home to friends.
