Learn basic navigation skills whilst enjoying a day long
walk in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District.

Indoor session – 1 hour.
Maps & scales; contours relief & height; taking a
bearing from the map & walking on it; taking a bearing
from the ground & relating to map.
On the walk – pacing & timing; finding features on the
ground; moving on steeper ground; using a compass.
